The sun slowly begun to hide behind the ocean. Darkness is spreading like a warm blanket in the scorching coldness. No other sounds but the dripping water from the tap. Me, sitting at the corner like a child waiting for her mother to come.
I remember the nights that were bright and shiny, filled with laughters and giggles, sweet scent of candles, hanging lanterns and untold stories of us. But now its darkness. Darkness everywhere. Darkness all over the soul. Beginning to carve out my happiness and peace.
Oh wait, I just heard a sound! Under the couch. Darkness had already taken over my eyes. Now its only me and the grunting sound. Little did I know that it was coming to me and it was too late when I had realised it. Now I can see something like a shadow. Its a demon with his 5 long arms looking for me. He stood infront of me. I couldn't move because my whole world was falling apart. He looked straight into my eyes; coming closer and closer.
The night is getting even colder and my body as well. As the demon got closer, I felt an intimacy. After mustering all the courage, I looked in his red eyes. It was me!!! My fears, insecurities and worries. I can hear him sneaking in to take control over my mind.
No, I won't let that happen. This is not what I wished for. If he took over me, I won't be able to get out of this misery. Before that I have to stop him. I closed my eyes, trying to pull myself all together.
A ray of light just passed across my eyes, erasing all the darkness. I am sitting with them, laughing and smiling. Then I am with him, leaning on his shoulder. She is sitting with me, hugging me tightly as I cry. All those happy moments came one by one, making me realise how stupid I am. Why would I be in despire if I have these people around me? See how far I came, passing all the obstacles.
I opened my eyes slowly. I can see the light. He was already gone as I embraced myself. It is all bright and shiny once again. Finally the sky is cleared off all the clouds. Sunrays knocked at the window glass. A warm breeze brushed my hair. Everything came back to normal, like a rainbow after the storm.
