Hey Candlemonk family!

A weekend pre covid was different from the weekend we have now. We all used to spend our time with our loved ones and some of us did the things of our interest. These were the two days we had time for our hobbies. I enjoy a variety of things but the thing I enjoy doing the most is Baking. You know why I love it the most? Because the outcome of it is tasty and heavenly 🤤.

I do a lot of cooking and make delicious food. Trust me if we ever get a chance, I'll love to have a dinner party with my candlemonk family 🤗. I cook both savory and sweet but i crave desserts more. Due to this craving I started baking cakes and eventually more sweet desserts. I loved eating cakes from childhood. My first cake I remember was for my Dad, on his birthday, a two layer chocolate cake😍. I was a newbie at baking then but the cake turned out yummy af.

From the result of my first cake, I learnt that follow the recipe correctly yields awesome results. My journey of experimenting with flavours and colors begin that day. I would love to show you  all the delectable desserts I made.

• Chocolate sponge cake
• This single layer cake is a chocolate sponge cake and I added buttermilk to it along with an egg. The other ingredients are basic like any other cake. It turned out really well.

• Basic Vanilla cake 
• A very basic cake with an elegant vanilla flavour. Sugar sprinkles add a crunch to it.

• Wheat flour vanilla sponge cake
• As the name suggests, it's a whole wheat cake with a basic vanilla flavor. It was dense as compared to a flour cake. It went really well with a cup of tea.

• Ras Malai Cake
• This one is my mum's favorite. With Indian Ras Malai flavour cake, a rich creamy and flavourful ras Malai syrup. It tastes soo good. You'll never have enough of this.

• Chocolate truffle cake 
• This cake is simple chocolate cake with a dark chocolate ganache. A small bite of this cake is so rich and delicious. A perfect cake for a chocolate lover.

• Chocolate glazed Donuts
• I made these for the first time and wasn't sure how they'd come out. They were so yum  a perfect balance of sweet and a yeasty dough.

• 4 ingredient vanilla sponge cake
• This cake has egg whites, sugar, vanilla essence and flour. It is very airy and fluffy cake. Very yummy too.

• Blue Butterscotch cake
• It has basic ingredients like any other cake. Only butterscotch essence along with few drops of blue gel color (edible). It tastes so good 🤤.

• Wheat flour biscuits

We all have eaten these yummy bakery biscuits. I added desi ghee not butter,just the way we have in punjabi Bakeries. They came out really yummy. 

• Chocolate truffle cake
• This is a larger version of my chocolate ganache cake. I made this for mum's birthday. Came out really very well.

• Choco chips and nuts cake
• This cake has a chocolate sponge base and loaded with choco chips and cashew nuts. It tastes so good.

• Chocolate cake with a twist
• A 4 layer chocolate ganache cake again but it is different from the previous one. I took whipped cream and added the chocolate ganache into it and gave an elegant chocolate flavor to the whipped cream and covered the cake with it. It was a pure bliss eating this cake. I decorated it with Ferrero Rocher chocolates. An Ultimate Birthday Cake!!
