Camping:
You must try walking on the meadows of Chopta barefoot if it isn't monsoon season (because then the leeches will host on you); the texture of the silky grass will just change your experience here. Additionally, consider camping on the large expanse of meadow here, which is surrounded by breathtaking vistas of green, rolling mountains, as an alternative to choose a concrete lodging. Enjoy a heartwarming bonfire and a beautiful starry sky at night. At these camps, you may even prepare your own food, which is one of the best things to do, in my opinion.
It smiles back at you:
Your eyes, a little blurry though, are unable to resist the bizarre view of being engulfed by the gigantic Greater Himalayas as your pumped-up feet touch the peak of Chandrashila (4090 m). Trishul, Nandadevi, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba appear delighted that you were able to reach the summit and experience the breathtaking and unmatched 360-degree vista. In the end, the view is what you remember and what you care about because of the Greater Himalaya's snow-capped and occasionally totally covered landscape.
Best reward:
The two primary treks in this area, Tungnath-Chandrashila and Deoria Tal, still exist even though Chopta is regarded as the starting point for many treks. The length and complexity of both trails—Chopta-Chandrashila Trek is 5 km long and Deoria Tal Trek is approximately 3–4 km long—make them ideal for beginners. Therefore, amateurs and inexperienced trekkers can enjoy a great journey that is packed with excitement, new experiences, and, of course, nature's bounty, without feeling too exhausted.
A solitary area that appears to be the seductive home of God, Chopta Valley, is situated at an elevation of 13200 feet atop the Chandrashile (moon rock) of northeast Sikkim. Because it is home to some of Sikkim's most revered landmarks, the valley in northeast Sikkim is particularly well-liked by hikers and people of many faiths. Chopta Ghati, also known as the Valley of Flowers, is a must-visit tourist destination in North Sikkim because it offers visitors a picturesque view of meandering rivers flowing through alpine valleys on one side and a panoramic view of snow-covered mountain peaks on the other. It is situated on the route to Gurudongmar Lake.
To reach there?
Bus: Passengers using a bus should get on at the Kashmiri Gate ISBT in New Delhi and head to Rishikesh or Haridwar. After arriving in Rishikesh, they should unwind in the hotel or Dharamshala and take in the captivating scenery of the city. The following day, they might begin their trip to Chopta by bus or by renting a private residence in Rudraprayag. Those using public transportation must board a different bus that is headed for Chopta through Chopta Pokhari Road.
