Karikattukuppam is a tiny village in Tamil Nadu. It is in Kanchipuram District. It is administered by Muttukkadu Panchayath. It lies 30 kilometers away from Chennai, the state capital.

It is also known as "Ghost Village" because many people died in the 2004 Tsunami in Chennai. Many places in this community were abandoned, and many families left to live elsewhere. At night, they began to hear woman screaming, baby wailing, and laughing noises. Many people have claimed to have seen ghosts along the beach and within abandoned structures.

It's so creepy that even temples have been abandoned here, and there's even a ghost school where people may hear school bells and children giggling when the sun goes down.

Even though many individuals are still afraid of going to particular regions in here, some people are still exploiting this place to conduct unlawful things. In there, people are finding dead body parts and blood streaks. It is reported that illegal activities such as drug use, brothels, alcohol use, and theft take place there.

After knowing all of this, my friends and I decided to explore the area, and this is what happened as a result of our encounter,

We went there by midday 2PM for safety concerns. My three other buddies and I drove in one of our cars. Many houses still have families living in them with children under the age of five. They are all playing near abandoned areas that are thought to be haunted. When we interrogated the villagers about the scary things happening in there, they said that some may still see the haunting things happening and that the spirits won't do anything bad to them until it is disturbed. After 6 p.m., most individuals avoid going to lonely locations. When the sun goes down, they all retire to their homes.

One of the families invited us into their home and served us tea. They informed us about a young boy and an old man's spirits, which are known as good spirits, while we were conversing. On the day of the tsunami, the young boy and his grandfather went to the beach to play and were killed when the tsunami struck. Following the incident during the dead boy's funeral, several individuals claim to have seen the reflection of the same young boy's face in the boy's photo frame, which is kept for prayers. When people noticed it, the image vanished. Some people still see the youngster playing with his grandfather in the beach sand after many years.

After hearing all of this, we snapped photos of some beach waves and the sky and set out from there.

That is some information about the Karikattukuppam hamlet in Chennai.

Thanks!
