Let's begin :

People have different views with regards to the issue of learning only local history at primary and secondary level, however national and international history also plays a vital role. But I agree with the viewpoint of reading history of both world level as well as local and national history as each have their different importance.

On the one hand, it is significant for students to learn about their local and national history. Firstly,  studying about local history will foster the feeling of belongingness and pride. They will came to know about how their ancestors struggled and fought for their independence and they will more value their lifr and liberty that they enjoy. Moreover, learning about national history will help to gain deeper understanding about the core values and origins of their motherland. As a result, they will understand the importance of their customs and traditions. For example, if Indians know about the national celebrations, only then they will be able to pass it to  the next generation.

On the other hand,  I also believe that the importance of studying history should not be underestimated. First reason is that in the era of globalization, it is very important to get an understanding of other cultures and traditions. The study of world history enables a person to know about the culture of other nations and this understanding between the people from diverse culture and ethical feelings. This might also improve international relationships. The second reason is that the study of world history help people to get the knowledge about how the societies and countries formed in the modern world .So this started frim the era of colonialism when the world was divided into small parts armed with people when they can have the broad prospective about how the countries are divided.

In conclusion, no doubt learning about local and national history is necessary for children in schools but also it is equally important to learn about global past.
