India 'The Country To Be Loved' ( Part 5 )

Hello everyone welcome to my blog series India 'the country to be loved' .

So this is the part 5 

I will continue from the physical features of India .

3.The peninsular plateau :-

This are formed from the old crystalline, igneous and metamorphic rocks . The main reason of formation of these is due to breakdown ofnGondwana a lan

These is consists of mainly two broad divisions -

The part of land lying to the north of narmada river is known by the name of central highlands. This is extended and merge with the sandy and rocky desert of Rajasthan . The central highlands are wider in the west side but are narrow in the east side.

The part of land which is triangular landmass lies in the south of narmada are known by the name Deccan plateau. This are higher in the west and slopes down is the Eastward. The western ghats and eastern ghats mark as the end of the west and east part of Deccan plateau. The western ghats are higher as compared to the eastern ghats . There range is about 900 to 1600 meters. The eastern ghats are discontinuous into the bay of Bengal .

The best feature of the peninsular plateau is the black soil area known as Dacean trap.

The Aravali hills are lies on the west margins of peninsular plateau .

4.The Indian desert (Thar desert):-

The Indian desert which is known as that desert . It lies in the western part of India with the covering part of Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat. It also continues in the neighbouring country Pakistan .

It has a arid climate with a very low rainfall. The most of the area is covered with the sand dunes . Some area is rocky type . This region has a river Luni which is only large river of this area .

This area is speed at the area of 238,254 sq. Km and forms a boundary between the India and Pakistan country .

It holds the position of 20 in the world largest desert and 9 position in the world hottest desert.

This area has very less population . It has only 83 persons per sq.km . Most of the people lives in the desert parts . This area has mamy wool sheep and hence in the total production of wool in India , 40 to 50% comes from here only .

That desert is manly consists of kharif crops like bajra, pulses, jowar, maize and sesame .

This is all about these two physical features of India.
