No.10 VIKRAM SARABHAI

Vkram Sarabhai born in Ahemdabad became known as the Father of India's Space Program.He was the founder of the Indian space agency ISRO in India.He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1966 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1972.

No. 9 JAGDISH CHANDRA BOSE

Born in West Bengal, Jagdish Chandra Bose was a polymath, physicist, biologist and botanist.His discovery of radio and microvave optics contributed to the study of plants.He first discovered the Crescograph and told the world that plants also have life and they can feels.It was he who first laid the foundation of experimental science in the Indian subcontinent.He was the first man who used a semiconductor junction to detect radio signals. He first discovered wireles  communication.

No. 8 SHRINIWAS RAMANUJAN

An Indian Mathematician born in Tamil Nadu with no formal training in mathematics, even then, he gave a number of extra-ordinal contributions to Mathematical Analysis, Number Theory, Infinite Series, and Fractions.He died due to health problems in England at a very young age.Many of his mathematic equations have not been able to solve the Mathematicians even today.

No. 7 MEGHNAD SAHA

He is known in the world for his best and famous work SAHA EQUATION. This equation is very important for interpretation of spectra of stars in astro physics.He also created an instrument that can measure weight and pressure of solar rays.Very few people know that they also prepared the original module of Damodar Valley Project.

No. 6 SATENDRA NATH BOSE

Satendra Nath Bose of Calcutta was an Indian physicist specializing in Quantum Mechanics.He played very important roll in the invention of Bosson particle.  This particle is also named after him. In 1954, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Vibhushan, the Indias Second Higher Civilian Award.

No. 5 S. CHANDRASHEKHAR

Born in Lahore, S. Chandrasekhar was awarded the Nobel Prize for Black Holes Mathematical Theory in Physics in 1983.The Chandrasekhar limit in this area is also named after him.His famous work was on Radiation of Energy by White Dwarf Stars.He died in Chicago in 1995.

No.4 VENKATRAMAN RADHKRISHNAN

Born in Chennai, Radhakrishman was a renowned space scientist and also the member of Royals Swedish Academy of Sciences.He was famous worldwide for his designer fabrication of ultra light aircraft and saleboats.

No. 3 VISHVESHWARAYA 

They believed that India could become a developed country by building more and more industries.He was also awarded the title of Bharat Ratna.

No. 2 HOMI JAHANGIR BHABHA

Bombay born Dr. Homi Jahangir Bhabha played a very important role in Quantum Theory and He was the first person who became the chairman of Atomic Energy Commission of India.He is also considered as the Father of Indian Nuclear Power.But they were against the manufacturing of atomic bombs and they believed that the production of atomic reactor should be used to reduce poverty in India.He died in 1966 after an Air India flight crashed.

No. 1 C.V.RAMAN

Chandrashekhar Venkataraman, born in Tiruchilapalli, received the Nobel Prize in Physics for phenomena  of Scattering of Light in 1930. He was the first Asian and Non-White man who got nobel prize in science field. Raman also worked on acoustic of musical instruments and he was the first scientist to tell about the harmonic nature of the sound of Indian drums.
